- Paper Cutter
- Staples
- Corner Rounder
- Paper Folder
Project Materials
- Cardstock – 12x12 – 1 yellow, 1 orange, 1 green (for matting photos and journaling)
- Pattern Paper – 4 co-ordinating papers: 1 plaid – 6X6, 2 floral – 6X6, 2 circles – 6X6, 2 chain pattern – 6X6
- Large Flower for cover
- Misc buttons
- 18 inches ribbon
- lettering for title cover
Instructions
- Cut Yellow and Orange Cardstock in ½, you will have 4 pieces that are 6X12 each
- Fold in ½ to make a 6X6 folded page
- Round all 4 corners with corner rounding tool
- Punch 3 holes in the “open” side of the page, this will be the left side of your book, the right side will be the nice folded finished edge.
- Place the first punched page on top of the next page and use as a template for punching the holes. Punch through the existing holes into the next page, this will ensure that all holes line up when you put your book together. Remember to ensure the open edge is the side being punched.
- Next take your pattern papers and cut each to a 5 ¾ square. This will allow the cardstock to show and provide a nice border for your page.
- Round all corners of the pattern papers.
- Decide which pages you want your pattern papers to appear on. I used matching papers on facing pages of the book. Cover the entire back of the pattern paper with glue and adhere to the cardstock pages.
- Next your creativity and photographs come into play! Fill your book with your favorite photographs and heartfelt journaling about what it means to be a Mom. Believe me when you children read this book as they get older they will be so glad you made it!!!
- Line up all the pages of your book and thread 6” pieces through each hole. Remember not to tie them too tightly. You need some slack to allow the pages to open properly.
