What brought you to CPO, or how did you find us?
Originally, I found this site when my oldest son was 3 months old through an ad list on Today's Parent, but didn't join in the discussion board until a year and a half ago, as I was looking for information on child rearing, miscarriage and family stress. To this day, I am pretty much hooked on CPO!Any favorite Boards?
Everything? LOL I like to check out General, Slow Cooker Club, Clutter Control Club (even now the house is clean and organized), Babies and Toddlers, Family & Relationships, as well as Guy's Garage (I don't think DH wants to join in but will ask to see what's new on the board LOL). Cooking, Recipes & Mealtime, Around the House, Arts,Crafts & Hobbies, Buds & Blooms, and Saskatchewan Board. But overall, I pretty much read all of Today's Hot Topics. What are your hobbies and interests?
I love to cook, craft, sew, read to my kids (even my youngest at three months old loves to hear the stories with excitement). I also enjoy caring for my houseplants. I have too many but at least they keep the house smelling fresh and clean. I like to go for walks when I am stressed out, as well as read and watch TV. Most of all, I love spending alone time with my husband. How many children do you have?
I have two cute boys, Robbie, 2.5 years old, and Layne, 3 months old. For my husband and I, they are the world to us.Maybe a little something about your parenting style or parenting philosophy...
No matter how bad life can be, we can make it through for the better. What are you most looking forward to this Spring/Summer?
I'm looking forward to getting the kids outside more often once the weather is nicebecause the park is nearby. I'm also looking forward to weekends (DH days off once he goes back to work in two weeks) to go camping on long weekends. As well as take Sunday afternoons for picnicking and swimming at the lake. For me, I am really looking forward to planting flowers as well as growing more herbs (I just recently started a tray of herbs and they are looking good), and BBQ time!Is there anything else you'd like to share with the CPO Community?
I find CPO not only resourceful, but there are good stories to share filled with laughter and sadness, as well as doubts. It's great to know we are not alone and have somewhere to turn to in doubt. If it weren't for CPO, I would have been lost, bored and confused with family life, and I would have given up too easily. This site helped us shape ourselves for who we are and we are grateful for that. And that is why CPO helped us to continue on with the enjoyment of being parents in life, despite "hidden" disabilities (I am hearing impaired and DH has learning disabilities). Here those challenges can be overcome easily. I am grateful for CPO!About the Author
