What brought you to CPO, or how did you find us?

I don't remember if it was potty training, speech problems, playgroups or separation anxiety that I was searching about when my son was just about two years old but I do know that I found all my answers once I found CanadianParents.com.

 Any favorite Boards?   

I lurk just as much as I post.  I'd have to say that at least once a week, I check out every single board that Canadian Parents has to offer.  My favorite of all has to be General Board.  I love the variety of that board.  You never know what exciting news or questions you might find in there.  I co-moderate Pregnancy and Childbirth and The Quebec Regional board, my children fit into Toddlers (soon the Preschoolers) and School Aged Kids boards and the seasonal boards always catch my eye.
    

What are your hobbies and interests?

    
I enjoy cooking and I love to entertain.  I always go overboard whether it is my child's birthday or just a friendly get together.  I love to shop, not necessarily buy, but I could browse the stores all day.  I enjoy being with friends...its what keeps me sane!  Winter we hibernate but summer we live outdoors.  We are the family that spends every waking moment at the pool, join all the teams, do the lessons and stay until its dark!  In my down time, I enjoy surfing the Internet, checking the boards and catching up on my emails.
    

How many children do you have and if you're comfortable sharing a name?

We have been blessed with two amazing children who amaze us every day.  Dylan, my oldest will be 7 in February.  He is the sweetest most caring and sensitive child I know but he is also a true boy, rough, tough and loud!  Megan, our little peanut will be 3 in March.  She may be tiny but boy is she feisty.  She knows what she wants and she does what it takes to get what she wants.
    

Do you have a particular parenting style or parenting  philosophy?

I'd like to think that I am a pretty laid back Mom.  I expect my children to be polite and try their best but to have fun while doing it.  I believe in Attached parenting and co sleeping but I also believe in rules and boundaries.
    

What are you most looking forward to this coming New Year?

Watching my children grow and learn.  Megan will start preschool in 2010, which will leave me home alone for the 1st time in a long time.  Maybe I will take a class while she is in preschool!  I have a new years resolution to better the health of me and my family.  I want us to eat better and get out and be active more as a family.  Every year I set some unrealistic goal but this we can do!
