What brought you to CPO, or how did you find us?
I stumbled across CPO while I was pregnant with my daughter almost 3 years ago. I came across many different sites but the one I found most interesting was CPO. Since it was over 16 years since my last baby I felt I wanted more information and the Internet wasn't around back then, so I had lots of questions and concerns.
Do you have any favourite Boards?
I can't say I have one favorite board as I read all of them. I find most are all of interest to me and have always had useful and friendly advise or just great reassurance. The ones I go to most often are: The First Year- Babies, Toddlers, Breastfeeding Support, General and now the new Parents 35+. I like reliving some good old memories.
What are your hobbies and interests?
Prior to my youngest two being born, I loved to go camping and fishing. But it's just to much now with a tent so we are looking into a trailer for next year. As well, our boat is too small for all of us now! I would have to say kids are my biggest interest as they are so full of life , and and they teach you how to enjoy life more. I love anything to do with children as it's always a learning experience for me as well as them. When and if I have time I do crafts such as fabric frames and photo albums and I have made some of my daughters dresses. Baking cakes is another new found interest with me as my daughter loves to bake too and its a big messy fun time!
How many children do you have?
Tell us about your parenting philosophy?
My parenting philosophy is to enjoy your children. Listen to what they have to say because even the simplest words you think may not have much meaning are a big things for them. Never let your child go to bed upset. Work anything out and always, always, give a kiss and an " I love you" when you put them down at night as well as anytime you need to say good bye. I still tell my two oldest I love them every day with a kiss and hug good night .
What are you most looking forward to this fall?
Is there anything else you'd like to share with the CPO Community?
I know I am not a perfect parent and at times I may lose my temper and feel really stressed. Sometimes I wonder how do I take care of my kids and why at times do I feel so stressed ? Or I have questions on how do I do things from difficulty in breastfeeding to changing a wiggley bum. When I feel like I am failing at things and I shouldn't be, I come to CPO and find out I am not much different from other parents.
