Kitchen Aid Attachment

A few years ago I was fortunate enough to find a great deal on a Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer. I love using it for baking, and use it for anything that really needs mixing. So when I was mentioning to a friend that I'd like to get a food processor for slicing and grating veggies and cheese, she told me all about the Roto/Slicer/Shredder Attachment for my mixer! I love to cook and experiment in the kitchen and think this would make a great Mother's Day gift. No, I won't get offended if I receive household items for gifts, quite the opposite, I love them, especially kitchen gadgets!

Second Yoga Jeans

Mother's Day? Oh yeah...I almost forgot! Things at our house have been so busy in the last few weeks, I can barely think about what's for dinner, let alone celebrating me. I've just returned to work after a nine-month maternity leave with my second son, we're in the middle of moving house and we just found a new caregiver for the kids. Whew.

One thing I definitely didn't have time for during all of this change was buying new threads for the office. But after spending the last nine months running around in my yoga pants, I know exactly what I want for mother's Day. Yoga Jeans!

Sony Reader

I love to read for pleasure but I have one personal rule concerning this almost guilty pleasure. I never allow myself to read until the day is over, and I’m in bed for the night. My husband reads in bed too, but one paragraph puts him to sleep – and so begins the battle of “turn out the light”! I’ve tried those tiny reading lamps and they don’t work. Enter - the new electronic reading devices which I’ve been following since this great idea was born. I hear one of the newest market entries is the Sony Reader, which boasts an easy-on-the-eyes 180 degree angle display and loads of other great features.

The down side is the price. And then of course you have to pay for every book you download. Like the title says, this is a “wish” list – but it could also be considered as a gift for hubby too? Maybe?

TIME

The only thing I really want this Mother's Day is TIME!  A day to myself would give me the time I need to go through the photos I have of our first son Cale, time to scan and upload them so I can create a photobook of his life. Of course while I wait for photos to scan and upload, a good book and a glass of wine would be great too! I'd finish the day off reading a favourite book to my kids. My favourite photobook creator.. Photobook Canada!
