Felt Tree Card Holder |
If you’re looking for an interesting display for all the cards you receive during the holiday season, give this craft a try. Everyone in the whole family can help decorate this tree!
Supplies:
• ½ yard green felt• Self –adhesive Velcro dots
• Ribbon in ‘Christmas colours’
• Cardstock or construction paper
• Scissors, marker, craft glue
• Decorating supplies such as stickers, scraps of lace or ribbon, markers, crayons, old Christmas cards or used Christmas wrap
Directions:
Fold felt in half length-wise, and draw half a Christmas tree along the fold. Cut your tree out, opening it up to reveal a symmetrical tree. Cut lengths of ribbon to zig zag across the tree like a garland, and glue into place. Cut round cardstock Christmas ornaments and decorate each ornament. We used scraps of old Christmas wrap, stickers, green lace, and markers to decorate ours. Glue ornaments onto tree. Cut a large star from cardstock, and glue to top of tree. Hang your tree on the wall or door using a strong magnet or tape, or by hooking onto a nail. When you receive a new Christmas card, position a Velcro dot on your tree, sticking one side to the tree and the other side to the back of your card. At the end of the season, remove the cards and roll your tree up for next year!
