Fun and Freaky Halloween Recipes

Thrill your little ghouls and goblins on Halloween!

Halloween is one of the best times of the year for kids, but parents worry about all that candy! To help satisfy the kids’ needs for festive fare while keeping on top of good nutrition, try these spooky, spectacular Halloween recipes from the Dairy Farmers of Canada.

Start the day on the right note with Breakfast Brain Pudding, a filling and nutritious breakfast dish. Made with wholesome quinoa, topped with vanilla yogourt and studded with dried fruits, this brainy bowlful is a great way to kick-start their morning.

Before the kids go trick or treating, fill their tummies with the wholesome goodness of Green and Gooey Macaroni. We snuck broccoli and spinach into this classic favourite, and the kids will be so enthralled they won’t even think to complain.

Grown-ups will love this slightly more refined, yet still spooky dish, Bloodshot Eyeball Soup. Thick potato and Canadian cheddar soup is served ladled around cranberry sauce for that festive bloodshot look. Having a cocktail party? Try serving the soup in shot glasses, topped with a dollop of cranberry sauce.
