I am nine-weeks pregnant. Should I wait for the unadjuvanted vaccine?

I am nine weeks pregnant. Is it best for me to wait for the adjuvant-free vaccine is available in my area or just take the regular one now?

Women who are nine-weeks pregnant are certainly susceptible to the pandemic flu virus, but they are not at a higher risk than somebody in the average population to become seriously ill or for their baby to be compromised. However, pregnant women in the last half of their pregnancy (after 20 weeks) have been particularly vulnerable to complications with this virus and those are the ones who we’re working hard to get immunized. So my advice is if you’re more than 20 weeks pregnant and the unadjuvanted vaccine is not available in your area, get the adjuvant shot. Women under 20 weeks pregnant are probably not at a higher risk than the average healthy person in their age group, and they can either wait for the unadjuvanted or go ahead and get the adjuvant vaccine right now.
