Did you know that shining your kitchen sink can actually put a smile on your face? Sometimes, we feel so beaten down by all the clutter and mess, it seems hopeless. Cleaning your kitchen sink gives you a sense of accomplishment and a great place to start on your cleaning journey. Grab your *Sparkle Kit* and let's GO!
- 1. Empty the sink - Wash any existing dishes in your sink or remove the "mystery water".
- 2. Insert the drain plug and fill your sink with very hot water. Add a cup of bleach and let sit for 30 - 60 minutes. Drain.
- 3. Using your abrasive cleanser, scrub your sink. Use an old toothbrush to clean around the taps and faucet. Make sure you also clean the rim of your sink where the sink meets the counter. Rinse well with hot water.
- 4. Dry your sink with a clean dishtowel.
- 5. For additional sparkle, apply glass cleaner (I use windex). Another trick is to use a light application of wax, olive oil, or lemon oil. If you have a stainless steel sink buff it with a steel wool pad after the soaking step to make it look brand new.
