By CanadianParents.com Community

We asked our Facebook fans and Twitter followers: What are your favourite stocking stuffers? Here's what they had to say!

"Mini toothpaste, mini lotion, mini packs of tissue, mini chocolate." — Haylie

"Fun stuff: wind-up robots, trail mix, hot chocolate mix, socks, funky pens, little games and a clementine." — @chiquitababy

"Scratch tickets, a pack of Lindor chocolate, gift certificate for a pedicure, flavored lip balm and a new ornament to put on the tree :)" — Shannon

"A mandarin orange and a new toothbrush." — Sherri

"My nanny was an expert at stocking stuffers. One year, it was trinkets from stores in Chinatown: satin pincushions, paper fans, tiny jade charms on silk cords. She always found something funny (like the terry cloth 'towel skirt' for men to use at the gym). Always a bag of gold foil-wrapped chocolate coins. A mandarin orange. Some kind of wind-up toy." — Blake

"Any kind of chocolate with crispy rice in it. Little Lego sets." — Amanda

"Chocolate oranges, mood rings, lip balm, Christmas socks, funny pencils, toothbrushes, gift cards, candies, mittens." — @mhamiltonmusic

"We get a Dream Home ticket and lottery ticket in our stockings every year. Always look forward to it!" — @ThePennyRoachs

"In our family the tradition is a mandarin orange, socks, underwear, chocolates and lottery tickets." — @SaskaDad

"Every year the kids get an ornament, this way they have mementos for their own tree when older." — Shauneen

"Lip balm and a new calendar." — Heidi

"My favourite stocking stuffers when I was a kid was getting cat treats for our cat, the cat was just as excited as I was to open it up and find out what was inside. My kids really enjoy those sponge capsules you put in water to find out what shape they are." — Natalie

"If you have children above the age of three, Michael's craft store is the best place for stocking stuffers. They have such neat items! Even Disney ones for $1.50 or more." — Jennifer

"We always got a jar of Planters Dry Roasted Peanuts. They still taste like Xmas morning to me." — @misstraceynolan
