Photo Album

With the help of your home printer and an inexpensive photo book like the HP Photobook (starting at under 15 dollars) you can put together a great gift in less than an hour.  The easy software makes it a snap to make! Create a photobook for your own mom, filled with favourite childhood photos, photos of grandchildren, or a collection of both.  Dads will find the home photobook easy to use and the kids will be excited to present mom with a special brag book filled with photos hand picked by her children.

“Green” Tshirt Shopping Bag

Dads and Kids can make mom a one of a kind earth friendly shopping bag with a few simple supplies. All you’ll need is a new or used cotton Tshirt and some washable markers.  Turn the T-Shirt inside out and sew across the bottom, double stitch to make a strong seam.  Cut the sleeves and neckline into a “tank top” and voila – you have a shopping bag.  Turn the shirt with the right side out and place some cardboard inside and let the kids decorate the front and back with drawings and expressions.  Toss in the dryer to set the marker and you’re done!

What Mom wouldn't like a gift certificate? You can purchase ready made certificates at most stores or better yet, create a certificate yourself!  Have the kids cut pieces of paper, add some stickers, and decorate with drawings.  Now add some wishes for mom... Breakfast in bed, sleep in, night out with friends, and skip dinner cleanup are just a few of the many possibilities.

Cookies with Love

Make up a batch of sugar cookies. Using cookie cutters, stamp out some hearts, and letters spelling Mom, Grandma, Auntie, Mommy – the name of whoever you are surprising on mother’s day.  Consider making up a plate of cookies with We LOVE (with a heart) MOM and surprising mom in the afternoon when she least expects it.
