Rainy Day Fun |
Tips from the CPO Community
Does a summertime rainy day make you want to crawl back into bed? We asked the CPO community what they like to do when a rainy day changes their plans to spend the day at the beach. Some say they pull on their boots and head outside while others find fun rainy day activities inside.Puddle Jumping & Showers
My son likes to put on his raincoat, his Billy Boots and bring the dish soap outside! Makes for a fun afternoon of splashing in puddles that are full of bubbles. When we were kids, if it was a "hot" rain, we liked to put our bathing suits on and "shower" in the rain!

Garage Getaway
A few years back I built a wooden gate to go across the front of my attached garage to block kids in, yet allow fresh air in too. On rainy days we go into the garage and I roll out the indoor/outdoor rug and pull out some toys and set up a paint/Play-Doh table and let the kids have fun. I can still do things in the kitchen as they are playing or get down and dirty with them out in the garage. It is great fun and allows them to get fresh air without getting wet.momof4boys, Ontario
Rainy Day Box
I remember having a rainy day box when I was growing up. It contained new movies, books, craft supplies etc... This box was only taken out on rainy days.MummyToKayley, Ottawa Ontario
Indoor Camping
Our kids love to camp indoors on a rainy day. We set up a pup tent or make a "fort" and have smores.Miscouchemommy, PEI
Picnic in Bed
Rainy days mean lazy days here. We like to snuggle up, watch movies, play games and have a bed picnic!MMummy, Ontario
