Should you get the vaccine if you've already had H1N1?

If you suspect your child has or had H1N1 is it still beneficial to get the vaccine?

Yes, health authorities recommend that people receive the H1N1 vaccine even if they’ve had the flu just to be extra careful. Lots of things may look like flu that aren’t. The only exception is if the illness was proven to be H1N1 by tests.

OK. But where can I get a blood test positively cofirming that my kids have indeed had H1N1? Many resources seem to have been diverted to H1N1 clinics. Live near Montreal, Thanks, Cindy
