Speed Dating for Single Parents |
Everyone needs a chance to break away from their comfort zone. Speed Dating Events are a way for all single parents to do just that!
Now, we know single parents are so busy with their children's lives, jobs, house and other things. When do you have time to talk and meet someone new and someone like yourself? This is your chance!
Speed dating is the newest and most exciting way to meet new people. Most single parents don't feel comfortable meeting a partner in the bar. Been there done that!
So, 2 friends on maternity leave were looking for a way to match their single parent friends up being as they didn’t have the time or energy to go out searching weekend after weekend. The single parents were tired of the bar scene and hearing “Oh, I know the perfect guy/girl for you”. Hence, “3minMatch” speed dating events.
When you arrive at an event, you will check in to receive a name tag and id number and be given a scorecard with names and id numbers of all of your dates and check boxes for you to check YES I was interested, or NO I didn’t feel interested enough to see this person again. After 3 minutes, a bell will sound and the men will rotate to the next table for another date, while the women stay stationary and wait for the next potential man of their dreams to come to them. At the end of each date each of you must fill in your scorecards and answer yes or no. After the event is completed you will hand in your scorecards and within 48 hours, you will receive an email containing email addresses of all of your mutual matches (both of you checked yes) and it is up to you to make contact.
You have the opportunity to meet your match. The best part is….if you don’t get a match that night you get to go back for free.
They offer different age categories such as 20-30, 30-45, 45-60, single parents, males only, females only and many special events.
A portion of all proceeds from every event is donated to specific charities such as Children’s Miracle Network and the Breast Cancer Foundation.
The events are currently held in the York Region area with sponsors such as Shoeless Joe’s – Sharon Ontario and The Courthouse Bar and Grill in Newmarket Ontario.
The events are held Monday through Thursdays weekly all beginning at 7:00pm. There is a first event being held on February 11, 2008 at Shoeless Joe’s Sharon, ON. You need to try it out for yourself.

I am going speeed dating this weekend hahaha never tried it but am willing to see how it goes, wish me luck they say its only 30 first dates what the hard ship in that ahaha funny! good time will let you know how it goes!
