ALL ABOUT ME BOOK/POSTER
Have the child create a special book about themselves with a variety of pages. *My hand, my foot, my family, my house, my pet, my favourite toy, book, food, things I like to do with my family.
SHADOW TRACING
On a nice sunny day trace your friends shadow on the driveway with chalk or on paper with crayons.
SHADOW TAG
Chase each other on a sunny day and try to tag their shadow.
MAKING RAIN
Boil some water in a pot until steam forms above it. Fill a pie plate with ice cubes and hold it obove the pot in the steam "cloud". When the steam comes in contact with the cool air from the pie pan, drops of water form and fall back into the pan like "rain".
SKATING IN SPRING
Outline a "skating rink" with masking tape on carpet. Fasten waxed paper to the children's feet with rubber bands or string.
EGGSHELL COLLAGES
Dry egg shells a use them for a collage.
