The 15 Minute Mom: Get the 15-Minute Focus |
This is a busy time of year for most parents. Our to-do lists grow quickly and can easily take over, leaving us wondering how we will ever get everything done. What we had envisioned as a special time of year – a time to enjoy our kids, family, and friends can quickly turn into a blur and before we know it – it’s all over.
So how do we balance it all? As parents we know that our job is never done –but that doesn’t mean we can’t prioritize and realize that there are some things that are just not going to get done – at this time of year and throughout the year. One of the best ways to get things done is to set a timer – focusing for 15 minutes can make a huge difference in how our day plays out for ourselves, our homes, and most importantly our kids. Not all tasks can be completed in 15 minutes but a little at a time is a great way to balance it out.
In 15 minutes we can…
- Empty and refill a dishwasher
- Play a game with our kids
- Do a quick vacuum
- Help our kids with homework
- Walk the dog
- Have a hot bath
- Open & File Mail
- Read with our kids
- Read a favourite novel
- Shovel the driveway
You get the idea… get the 15-minute focus and see how it changes your family.
