Steps & Stages |
Your Baby
Congratulations, your baby has finally arrived.
The early days are filled with feedings, changes, and if you are lucky, lots of sleep. Although very young babies are busy adjusting to the world outside, they are also busy growing and developing in many different ways. As a parent you are the most important observer of your child's development. By watching and interacting with your child, even in the early days, you will have the joy of watching him or her reach the important milestones.
Many experts agree there are "normal" signs of development. It is important to insure your baby is reaching these milestones even if not at the age printed in many books and magazines. By watching your baby you are better able to bring concerns of lack of development to your family doctor. If your child has special needs, early help can make a difference.
