Breakfast & Brunch

  • Campfire Muffins

You will be surprised at how fun it is to make muffins when you are camping. Make extras for snacking!

  • Campfire Baked Apples

Baked apples are great at home and amazing when cooked over hot coals.  Try these if you are out camping.

  • Omelette in a Bag

You will not believe how easy this recipe is.  We tried it for the first time a few years ago during a summer camping trip.  We now make them at home because they taste so good!

  • Oatmeal Pancakes

    This recipe is very nutritious.

  • Shrove Tuesday Pancakes

Eggs and fat were once forbidden during the 40-day Lenten fast, so on Shrove Tuesday, the day before Lent, Irish bakers would make pancakes to use up their stores of those ingredients. Enjoy your pancakes!!

  • Melt in Your Mouth Pancakes

This is the last pancake recipe you will ever make. They really do melt in your mouth!

  • Lemon Poppy Seed Pancakes

Make a different kind of pancake.

  • Orange Pancakes

I really love orange juice so when I found this recipe while surfing one day I had to try it. The orange flavour in the pancakes is really nice and when you top it off with the syrup it is amazing! I cut up pieces of fresh orange to sprink over the top.

  • Fluffy Berry Pancakes

In the summer we make these with whatever berries are in season. Raspberries are really tasty but only if they are fresh. Because there are egg whites in this recipe be careful giving them to little ones who have not yet had the whites of an egg.

  • Chocolate Chip Pancakes

There isn't a kid around who would say no to this recipe.

  • Scottish Pancakes

I really like the taste of oats in pancakes. They make them a little heavier but the flavour is worth it. I make my pancakes small like little scotch cakes. My kids used to make me put faces on them like tubby toast.

  • Grandmothers Pancakes

There is nothing fancy about these pancakes but they are very tasty. Make sure you don't over mix the ingredients, it makes for tough pancakes. The best part of this recipe is it is a good last minute meal idea, all of the ingredients can be found in most homes.

  • English Pancakes

My husband's family is English and while watching teletubbies of all shows we discovered a variation of this recipe. I did a little experimenting and came up with a really tasty treat. This recipe requires a little more time than traditional pancakes but they are worth it! They are a little like crepes but we serve them with whatever anyone wants, traditionally it would be a sqeeze of fresh lemon and sugar, then rolled and eaten. Yum!

  • Giant Sunday Pancakes

Traditionally our family has enjoyed pancakes on Sunday mornings. Now with hockey practice taking over our family day we have had to move pancakes to Saturdays. Every once in awhile I make a batch and freeze them during the week so we can have them before heading to the rink.

  • Blueberry Gingerbread Pancakes

I didn't think combining blueberries and gingerbread would work but these pancakes are pretty tasty. My aunt found the recipe on the Internet and made them for the family at the holidays. I am going to make them for Pancake Tuesday.
