Campfire Popcorn
We had a campfire popcorn popper when we were kids but I haven't been able to find one. We use heavy duty foil and it works everytime. You will need one package per person.
-
Omelette in a Bag
You will not believe how easy this recipe is. We tried it for the first time a few years ago during a summer camping trip. We now make them at home because they taste so good!
-
Campfire S'mores
This is our favourite summer treat. We keep a plastic container filled with supplies so we can make them anytime.
-
Perfect Lemonade
The key to making perfect lemonade every time is to use simple syrup, made by boiling together both water and sugar, then cooling. This completely dissolves the sugar and blends deliciously with the tart lemon.
-
Salmon Steaks
This recipe takes only 7-8 minutes to cook. That's why I like it. Serve with mashed potato if you like. Buying whole salmon is cheaper than buying steak.
-
Carrot Stick Salad
This recipe is from one of my favourite recipe books.
-
Frosty Snowman
Bring the snow inside and have fun cooking with the kids.
-
Cookie Monster Cookie Dough
This is the original Cookie Monster recipe. It makes simple cookies that are easy to eat and fun for kids to help in the preparation.
-
Frozen Jack-O-Lanterns
My kids love this special treat on Halloween!
-
Spare Arm Punch
Frightfully delicious!
-
Worms
You can use any colour gelatin.
-
Pumpkin Puree and Baked Seeds
What better way to use up the Halloween Pumpkin!
-
Kids Artsy Xmas Cookies
This recipe is a family tradition. December hasn't even arrived yet and the kids are already asking me when we'll bake them! It's baking and painting all at once, and tastes as good as it looks! All you need is your favourite shortbread recipe (one is provided if you don't have one), some food colouring, 4 new fine paintbrushes, and an assortment of cookie cutters (preferrably the ones that have a pattern inside of them).
-
Edible Spiders
I've made these at childrens parties and they're a real hit!

Ramadan: Halawah bil-Fawaak
In North Africa, honey is used much more than in the Middle East. During Ramadan, the enticing sweets are enhanced by being soaked in a honey syrup or having honey as a main ingredient.
