Child of the Week

Introducing Emerson!

Emerson Mary Ellen is Jud and Sandra's 3rd child. She's a little sister to Hunter (age 3.5) and Tristan (age 22 months).

Emerson came to Jud and Sandra on December 16, 2006. Sandra's pregnancy with Emerson was a "normal" pregnancy, filled with a lot of morning sickness, and many trips to the hospital to have Non Stress Tests (NST) to monitor Braxton Hicks contractions, which were occurring every 2 minutes in her last month. Sandra was hospitalized 3 times prior to going into labour. But eventually, Emerson came quickly after only 2.5 hrs of labour (much to her moms delight!). She weighed 7lbs 14oz and was 20inches long.

Emerson has blue eyes and blonde hair. She's rolling over and LOVES her brothers. She smiles all the time, and overall is a very content baby. She's sleeping through the night and we've just started some solid foods.

Jud and Sandra's parenting philosophy is to raise their children in a God centered home. They feel strongly that discipline needs to be consistent and fair. They also feel that it is important to spend one on one time with each of their children.

Sandra LOVES visiting the CPO boards because she loves sharing some of her parenting tips and even more so, LOVES getting tips from other parents!

Sandra's favourite quote right now: "Cleaning your house while the kids are still growing, is like shoveling the snow before it stops snowing."
