Announcing Finn

Finn my youngest of four bounced into our lives 12 days early on January 12, 2007! He has one big sister Mackenzie who's almost 11, and two big brothers Liam and Ciaran who will be 5 and 3 in November. They all ask to hold him and love to make him giggle. At 7 months, he's just starting to creep around and discover his surroundings. He's a redhead just like his mom and has the sparky attitude to go along with it. His huge open mouth gummy grins make us forget all about that 3 am waking. Many have asked us if his name is short for anything? I joke with them say, "Yes, Finn is short for 'finished'!"

For those of you that don't know me I'm Cara- aka Ladybug Mom, CPO's Community Leader. I discovered CPO's Message Boards back in 1999, while looking for resources as a young single mom. I joined our Parenting Pen Pals board and was happy to find support and others I could relate to.

In 2002, I was reacquainted with CPO while expecting Liam. I have been lucky to have been apart of three Birth Club Boards and have connected with so many people here. CPO became a part of my day-to-day life in 2004 when my husband Andrew was working out of town. It gave me the adult interaction I was missing when I left the workforce while expecting my third child, Ciaran.

I refer to my CPO friends, as my "friends" in everyday conversations even though I have only ever met a handful of them. CPO is a place for every type of parent, and over the years I feel that I've molded into many of the groups here. I was a Single Parent, I'm now in a Blended Family, I have an Infant, a Toddler, a Preschooler and a Pre-Teen. I'm thankful that CPO has been there for me and so many others and I'm looking forward to contributing even more in the future as CPO's Community Leader.
