Introducing Kiara and Kalyna
At the tender age of 38, my husband and I were delighted to discover we were pregnant with twins. The year prior, we had lost 3 pregnancies, so this was very much a miracle and wonderful gift. I had a great pregnancy and delivered early at 32wks and 5days.Kiara and Kalyna are identical twins and yet very unique in their own ways. They entered this world at 5lbs8oz and 5lbs12oz despite being born so early. They spent 4wks in NICU and are currently healthy and active 4yr olds. They have 3 older siblings that adore them, Joshua, Melissa and Laura. They bring joy and challenges to our lives; what a blessing they truly are!
I am so happy that I found the CanadianParents.com. I have personally found that message boards can be extremely helpful, especially as a first time Mom of twins! To have the opportunity to share with other parents the ups and downs, the joys and challenges of parenthood can be very supportive. I have discovered many new friends, that I have been able to actually bond with and expand my friendships over the network...parents from various backgrounds and countries. The convenience of being able to interact and connect with other humans during naptimes or bedtimes has been precious to me. Otherwise, I would have had a lot of very lonely times....the support these people lend to you, merely with typed words on a screen, has been invaluable to me.
To have the knowledge that you truly are NOT alone with a lot of the experiences and challenges is a huge comfort!! AND the shared home remedies and recipes, as well as the venting when needed is an extra special perk for sure!
