Hellen Buttigieg is an award-winning Certified Professional Organizer®, Life Coach and Gemini-Nominated HGTV host.
You may have seen Hellen on TV as the compassionate yet firm professional organizer who helps homeowners understand their emotional obstacles, face their fears, and find freedom from clutter.
As President of We Organize U, an Oakville based company she started in 2001, Hellen provides her clients with a personalized approach to clearing their clutter and organizing their space so they can regain control of their lives.
She is a columnist for Home Digest and Home and Décor and has been featured in hundreds of newspaper articles across North America, including the National Post, the Toronto Star and the Chicago Tribune, and in magazines including Style at Home, Today’s Parent, and TV guide. A sought-after guest on a variety of television programs, her national appearances include CityLine, Canada AM, ET Canada, and many more.
Hellen is a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO), and Professional Organizers in Canada (POC), where she has served on the board as Director of Chapter Development. At their 2004 conference, Professional Organizers in Canada honored Hellen with the prestigious Harold Taylor Award in recognition of her outstanding contribution to the organizing profession.
In June of 2004, Hellen was the first in Canada to earn her Certificate of Study in Chronic Disorganization from the National Study Group on Chronic Disorganization (NSGCD). She continued her education, earning a Certificate of Study in Learning Styles and Modalities, a CD Specialist Certificate and a Certificate of Study in Basic ADD Issues with the CD Client.
In April 2007, Hellen was one of the first in the world and only one of 3 in Canada to earn the designation Certified Professional Organizer® (CPO®).
As a Life Coach, Hellen empowers her clients to take control of their lives and holds them accountable as they work towards achieving their goals. She has been trained through Coachville, Coaches Training Institute (CTI), and YWCA Life Skills Coaches Program and is a member of Coachville Graduate School of Coaching.
Hellen is a dynamic speaker who motivates and inspires her audiences to get organized. She is a graduate of the Dale Carnegie Effective Speaking and Human Relations Program and an award-winning member of Toastmasters International.
She comes from an extensive, well-rounded communications and wellness background. She graduated from Seneca College with a diploma in Radio and TV Broadcasting and has completed continuing education courses in Stress and Time Management at Sheridan College.
She draws on her time management skills to balance work with a busy home life as a wife and mother of two children.
