I have a question... why is it that a lot of recipes have milk in them for baby's when I'm not supposed to give my son milk until he's a year old???? I'm very confused!!

Allison, I think that they mean either formula or breast milk.

It is recommended that you wait till one year for giving only cows milk vs breast/formula in order to meet all the dietary requirements that your baby has.. to use it in a recipe is safe as long as your baby has no dairy allergy. Most formula is milk protein based and for most babes adding milk to a recipe is not an issue.

Sheena,I've made everything from beets with carrots to acorn squash mixed with sweet pototo, and zucchini with apple sauce and green beans, the sky is the limit. Take a day and mix up veggies you like together and try them out on him, ask for some help from a friend who also likes to cook, they can also suggest recipe idea's. When you get to meats I try to make them with veggies I know my son liked and added the pureed meat to that. Good luck.
