Almond Skor Candy

Hope you enjoy this recipe it is one of our favourites.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

Directions

Spread 1 cup whole almonds with skin on, on foil lined cookie sheet. Boil 4 ingredients on high, stirring constantly with a dry wooden spoon (about 5 minutes). The mixture will start to smoke and burn a bit and will turn darker. Quickly pour over almonds. Put in freezer to harden. Snap into large chuncks. Spread with melted chocolate chips on both sides and dip in finely choped almonds. Put in fridge to harden. Break into bite size pieces.
