This is an excellent recipe if you like garlic. And it is great for working people as it really only takes as long as it take to fry up bacon.

Ingredients

  • 1/4c. olive oil
  • 4 slices of bacon
  • 28 oz. stewed tomatoes
  • 1/2 c. fresh chopped parley
  • 1/2c. fresh chopped basil (2 tbsp. dried)
  • 5 cloves crushed garlic
  • 1/4 tsp. ground pepper
  • 1 lemon
  • fettucine for 4 people
  • 1/4 c. parmesan cheese

Directions

Heat oil in frying pan with bacon and cook over med. heat until lightly browned. Stir in tomatoes, parsley, basil, garlic, and pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally for 10 min. add squeeze of lemon juice during last 30 seconds. of cooking. Spoon over pasta and sprinkle with cheese.
