Awesome Honey Banana Muffins |
Homemade muffins hot from the oven are a family-favorite, and most parents agree that the healthier, the better. This recipe is just as simple as can be, and your kids will never guess how healthy they really are. Makes 12 large muffins.
Ingredients
- 4 very ripe bananas, mashed
- ½ cup honey
- 1/3 cup applesauce
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 ½ cups flour (unbleached or ½ whole wheat ½ unbleached)
- ¼ cup wheat germ
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp baking powder
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350° F.
2. Combine all ingredients in a medium mixing bowl. Stir to mix well, and pour into greased muffin tins.
3. Bake for 15 – 20 minutes until toothpick inserted comes out clean. These muffins taste best once cooled.
