Campfire Popcorn

We had a campfire popcorn popper when we were kids but I haven't been able to find one.  We use heavy duty foil and it works everytime.  You will need one package per person.

Ingredients

  • 18" x 18" square of heavy foil (double if necessary)
  • 1 tsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp popcorn
  • Stick and String
  • Butter & Salt (optional)

Directions

  1. Place a your foil square on a flat surface.  Add vegetable oil popcorn kernals.  Make a tent with corners meeting, folding the sides to seal.  Be sure to leave room for the popcorn to pop!
  2. Attach a long string to a stick and tie the string to the top of the foil pouch.
  3. Hold the pouch over hot coals (not flames) shaking until all corn has popped.  Watch that the popcorn doens't burn.
  4. Open the package carefully and enjoy!  You can add butter or salt, but it tastes great just as it is.
  5. Prepare one package per person.
