Crescent Roll Casserole

This is a quick and easy stand by recipe in our home.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 med onion
  • 1 can sliced mushrooms
  • 1 green pepper (optional)
  • 14 oz can tomatoe sauce
  • 1 pkg crescent dinner rolls

Directions

Line botton of 9x6 ungreased pan with uncooked buns brown meat onion & pepper; add sauce and mushrooms; simmer for 5-10 minutes. Pour mixture on top of the buns scatter mozerella cheese on top and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.

    From a retired male, from what i remember you have to roll the crescents into shape. Do I just use them as a flat dough or shape them.

    I don't think you have to shape them. Just unroll it and place at the bottom of the pan.

    Does it sort of resemble "Pizza" with the rolls on bottom?

    This is going to become a frequent dish in our house! I took out the mushrooms because the rest of the family doesn't like them but added celery instead. Very tasty!
