Crockpot Round Steak & Rich Gravy

I am a working Mom, so I need recipes that when I come home, I can just serve.

Ingredients

  • 2 lb. round steak
  • 1 can Cream of Chicken Soup
  • 1 envelope dry onion soup mix
  • 1/2 cup water.

Directions

Cut round steak into serving size pieces. Add rest of ingredients. Cook on low 10-12 hours. Great gravy on mashed potatoes!

    I have to steal the term: delish! Because this is pretty tasty! A heads up here is to pat dry the round steak before you sear them. A good sear never hurts.

    My mother in law just gave me a recipe very similar to this. Her receipe is called Swiss Steak. We use stewing beef and 1can of tomato soup and add carrots and mushrooms. It is sooo delicious and it just cooks all by itself. You can serve it with potatoes or rice or noodles. I'm going to try outting in some other veggies we like such as butternut squash and sweet potatoes.
