Grandmothers Pancakes

There is nothing fancy about these pancakes but they are very tasty. Make sure you don't over mix the ingredients, it makes for tough pancakes. The best part of this recipe is it is a good last minute meal idea, all of the ingredients can be found in most homes.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups sifted flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 2 tablespoons salad oil/melted

Directions

Mix ingredients making sure the batter is still a little lumpy. Cook on seasoned skillet or griddle. Serves 2 - 3 people.
