Italian Dressing |
This is a tried and true dressing recipe. I hope you enjoy it as much as our family has over the years.
Ingredients
- 1/4 c red wine vinegar
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp salt
- dash of pepper
- 1/4 tsp dried basil, oregano or mixed Italian herbs
- 3/4 c olive oil
Directions
Whisk together vinegar, garlic, salt, pepper and herbs. Gradually whisk in oil. Taste and adjust seasoning. Makes about 1 cup of dressing.
Use to baste meat during the last 10-15 minutes of broiling or
barbequeing. Keeps well in the fridge. Excellent on beef, pork, chicken.
Yields 1-3/4 cups.
