Oven Baked German Pancake

Oven Baked German Pancake

By Deborah Clark

If you love the taste of pancakes, but hate all the work and time it takes to make them, then my grandma's recipe is for you. I measure my ingredients the night before, whip it together, pop it in the oven and in no time we are sitting down. This makes for a full brunch with little mess.

Ingredients

  • 6 eggs; slightly beaten
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 tbsp butter; melted
  • 1 pinch salt
  • Your choice of toppings: syrup, confectioners or brown sugar, fruit and/or yogurt.

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 450F. Grease well a 13x9x2-inch baking dish.

2. Combine eggs and flour in bowl. Add milk, butter, and salt; mix well. Pour into prepared dish. Bake for 15-20 min or until puffed.

3. Cut into serving pieces. Serve with desired toppings.
