Quick Gourmet Burgers |
Fire up the grill and make yourself a tasty homemade burger. Fast food burgers are laden with high-fat meats, have a lot of fillers and preservatives and are covered in cheese and sauce that pack on the pounds. Homemade burgers can be made with extra-lean beef and the toppings are again, up to you.
Ingredients
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 Vidalia onion, finely grated
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 Tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 1 egg, well beaten
- 2 Tbsp bread crumbs
- 2 Tbsp barbecue sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
1. Combine all ingredients and mix by hand until well blended.
2. Cook on a pre-heated barbeque or grill until juices run clear (roughly 10 – 15 minutes for well-done).
3. Top with your favorite condiments, cheese, veggies, and of course, a pickle on the side! Make some fresh basil mayo, or add fresh cilantro to your burger mix – the possibilities are endless.
