Rye Bread

A nice version of classic rye bread. (For use in a 1 1/2 lb / 2 lb bread machine)

Ingredients

  • 1water, 80 F/ 27 C.
  • 1 cup & 1 tbsp All purpose, or Bread flour.
  • 2 cups medium rye flour
  • 1 cup dry milk powder [I omit this]
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • 2 tbsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. Caraway seed(optional)
  • 2 tsp. butter or margarine
  • 1 tbsp. cut into 4 pieces
  • 1 1/2 tsp Bread Machine/Fast rise yeast

Directions

Cook using your basic/standard cycle according to type of yeast.
