- salt, pepper
- 2 tsp lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp chicken boullion

I was a bit skeptical of making a dish with a can of pie filling but was surprised at how tasty the results were. I defrosted some pork chops from the freezer and ended up using two with bone and two butterfly. Both styles of chops turned out tender and juicy. The kids loved the sauce. TESTING: I made this recipe twice because after the first test where I followed the recipe I decided I wanted to see what it would taste like with a full can of cherries (after all I had no use for a half can of cherries!) and the results were great. I would just toss the full can in if I were making it again and I would double the other ingredients to balance out the sweetness and to make a little extra sauce. It tasted great on the rice we served along side the pork chops.

Here's a reply for Helen. she said she had no use for the remaining 1/2 can cherry filling. Use it to make Black Forest Brownies. For dessert, serve a piece of brownie topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, spoon some cherry filling over the ice cream, add a dollop of whipped cream if you want, some chocolate sprinkles, and voila! A simple, great looking dessert!
