Smothered Steak

Great for a stress-free Sunday dinner.

Ingredients

  • serving size pieces of steak
  • steak spice
  • 1 onion
  • soya sauce
  • water

Directions

Brown serving size pieces of steak seasoned with steak spice in a cast iron pan and put in roaster pan. Sautee an onion and add to the roaster. Deglaze your pan with water and some soya sauce and add to the roaster. Add enough water to the roaster to cover the steak , cover, and put in a 300 degree oven. Slowly cook for hours until it falls apart with a fork. Make sure it doesn't dry out, topping with water as necessary. When done remove meat and make a gravy from the pan juices. It will be rich and dark and so good! Serve with veggies and whatever else you desire.
